CITY TOUR WITH LUNCH , BUENOS AIRES
The most important tourist sites are located in the historic city, sector by almost neighborhoods Montserrat and San Telmo. The city began to be built around the Plaza Mayor (Plaza de Mayo today), and administrative institutions of the colony were housed in the area. East of the Plaza can be seen from the Casa Rosada, seat of the current executive branch of Argentina, in which place was formerly the Fort. North of the Plaza is the Metropolitan Cathedral, which occupies the same place since colonial times, and the building of the Banco de la Nacion Argentina, whose land was originally owned by Juan de Garay. Another important institution was the colonial Cabildo, located to the west, which is not preserved in their original form as part of its structure was demolished for the opening of the Avenida de Mayo and Julio A. diagonal Rock.
To the south is seen the building of the former Congress, which currently operates the National Academy of History. And finally, to the northwest can be seen from the Head of Government of the City, towards the Avenue in May.
Another tourist site for its cultural significance is the Avenida Corrientes. It boast a large number of theaters like the Teatro San Martín, and another large number of sites of interest such as the Paseo La Plaza and the Luna Park Stadium. At the intersection of this avenue 9 de Julio Avenue is the Obelisk, an emblem of the City of Buenos Aires. Was also installed on this avenue the market, which has now been converted into a mall.
