DAY TOUR CANAIMA

 In the Santiago Mariño Airport, Margarita Island you check at the Aereotuy counter with the assistance of the guide of the excursion and then you are taken to the waiting room where you will be given a briefing on the flight and the day tour in general. Once the briefing is over you proceed to board the plane to depart to the Canaima National Park. The estimated time of the flight is 2 hours approximately, with a possible stopover in Ciudad Bolivar or Puerto Ordaz for gas refill which takes about 20 minutes. This stopover may happen on either way of the flight. Over flying the Angel Fall (if weather conditions allow it) may be done in the morning or on the return in the afternoon. Upon arrival to the Canaima National Park you will be ground transferred to the restaurant so you may change your clothes (bathing suit, shorts, etc.) and have a snack before departing for the expedition.The first walk is very short, it is from the restaurant to the lagoon and from there you embark in a typical boat (curiara) to cross the lagoon where you may observe the water falls with the Table Mountains as the background. Then, an excursion is made in the surroundings (El Sapo or El Hacha falls), which may vary depending on the season of the year and the water level of the river. After this ride we would return to the restaurant and have lunch. 

You would finally visit the shop of handicrafts and would be taken to the airport to take your return flight.
