From the top of one of these gigantic Table Mountains, the Auyantepuy, rises the highest water fall the Angel Fall with 1,005 M. of height. This region is crossed by numerous rivers and due to its uneven topography; amazing falls and canyons are formed. All through its geography there inhabits different communities of natives that combine traditional activities of hunting, fishing, collection of fruits and artisan work with tourism and environment protection.
EXCURSIONES AL SANTO ANGEL
Day 1 – Welcome and reception of passengers in the Canaima National Park. Lunch. We would give you a ride throughout the majestic Lagoon of Canaima and excursion the “El Sapo” fall. Return to the camp. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 2 – Breakfast. We would take a nice walk to the Ucaima pier to embark in a typical boat (curiara) which will take you to the Angel Fall (15 min. approx.) We would navigate through the Carro River up to the rapids of Mayupa (20 min. approx.) Then, we would walk through the Mayupahasta savannah which is the next pier (35 min. approx.). We arrive to the Pool of Happiness (30 min. approx.). Lunch is served. Start navigating up to the Mouse Island (2.5 hours). We would take a walk to the observation deck of the Angel Fall or to its base (1 hour approx.), visit the Angel Fall pool.
Day 3 - We would have breakfast and go back to Canaima. Lunch.
